Violently Awkward. Awkwardly Violent. If Pylon was produced by Henry Garfield circa TV Party. (S)hit in particular conveys a fumbling sexuality so clueless, so selfish, so insensitive, Caligula himself would have blushed.
Favorite track: (S)hit.

Innovative post punk wire pickers from Baltimore, Maryland. This band is literally "Outside the square" favorite track "Made in Mexico" structure, harmony & bop, yet really different. Nice.

This album feels eternal, simultaneously feeling like it belongs anywhere and everywhere between the late '70s and today, effortlessly jumping between Devo-esque new wave and '90s indie rock with perfect results. Every single track whips ass. 10/10 AOTY. Conor

A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
